Safety Controls

ID Verification

  • Everyone is who they say they are because ALL identities are verified.
  • Don’t try to lie about your identity on the app – our moderators can always trace an account back to a real person.
  • If your account is cancelled due to breach of the terms you cannot return with another account because it would fail ID verification – it is the person that is blocked not the account.
  • Name change

Freedom of Speech

Here at wndr we really value freedom of speech. But just because we value this basic human right does not mean that we tolerate everything you want to say, there are limitations and boundaries which we have put in place to safeguard all our members. We take our responsibilities VERY seriously when it comes to protecting our members and we hope you will too. That way we can all enjoy everything that happens on the wndr app. Here is a list of things that we do not consider freedom of speech –

  • Classified info
  • Libel
  • Obscenity
  • Pornography
  • Trade secrets
  • Incitement
  • Fighting words
  • Non-disclosure agreements
  • Copyright violation
  • Slander
  • Sedition
  • Perjury

We are a planet of 7.6 billion people, and growing. It would be strange, and a bit boring, if we all thought the same! But we firmly believe it is all our duty to follow the rules and show respect and kindness to all. Before posting think about if your content will hurt anyone or provoke bad behaviour. Do your ideas respect the rights of others? Are you trying to harm someone’s reputation?

We live in the Digital Age where so much is possible. Your opinions make you who you are and we’re sure you’ve got plenty of great things you want to share. We just ask that you act responsibly. If not, your freedom of speech will be restricted, and at worst, your account could be investigated.

Respect other members

The wndr golden rule to remember is treat others just like you would like to be treated.

If you’re unsure about this comment take a look at this quote from the dictionary –

Respect (verb) – have due regard for (someone’s feelings, wishes or rights)

Do not post things that are hurtful to others, it’s that simple.

Behaviour

Mental Health intro

  • Be kind and considerate, kindness makes the world go round
  • Bullying or harassment will not be tolerated. End of.
  • No discriminatory behaviour
  • No threats or violence will be tolerated
  • Do not post content that is discriminatory, obscene, inflammatory, harassing, hateful, threatening, profane or personally abusive. How would you like it
  • Be thoughtful
  • Be inclusive
  • Be your best self
  • Be real

Social Content

  • Inappropriate content will not be tolerated
  • No promotion of violence
  • No pornographic or sexually explicit content
  • No unwanted romantic attention or sexual advances
  • No visuals of disturbing images, for example, animal cruelty
  • No promotion to sell goods – we are not an advertising platform

Our Rules on Promotion, the Cans and Cant’s

Let’s start by saying we are definitely not a marketplace for selling goods. We don’t sell your data and we’re guessing that you love that about us. In return we ask that you don’t try to promote any products outside of the wndr ecosystem.

There is no advertising allowed in the wndr marketplace no advertising placements in the stream or affiliate links allowed in posts.

The only promotion that we allow is the sharing of content that you have found useful from elsewhere in the Wndr platfrom.

Some Tips on How to Give Feedback

As a wndr member you have the option (s) to give feedback on other people’s posts, things that you loved and made you feel good or things that you weren’t so happy about. We welcome feedback, it helps us all grow and we love to continually improve.

Our guide to feedback is simple – keep it true and honest and use language that is respectful and helpful. Think about if your feedback is going to insightful and is ‘good’ or are you trying to hurt someone in some way?

We prefer to ask the question ‘How did it / the post/image etc. make you feel?’ instead of ‘Did I like it and if not what negative thing can I say about it?’!

Give yourself time to think about how something makes you feel instead of quickly clicking a button. It doesn’t mean you have to agree with everything but it helps you think about if the content might have some value – was it fun? Were you entertained? Was it educational, informative? Did it make you happy or unhappy or, at least, make you think?

Thinking in this way is a lot more constructive and will help to keep wndr a kind space to have your say. And who knows, you might have your mind opened to all sorts of fab new ideas you never even knew existed!

What About wndr’s Notification Policy?

We’re guessing one of the reasons you’ve joined us is because you’re tired of being hassled by ads and promos, constant pop ups…you won’t find that with us. You choose what you would like to be notified about, if you don’t want any notifications then that’s fine too of course.

Wndr offers you the chance to access fantastic third party links if you choose too. Wndr is connection-central if you want to find new avenues to explore about things and get linked to all sorts of interesting people and topics. The most important thing to remember is that you are ALWAYS in charge of your feed and what you get sent. Sorted.

Likes and Don’t Likes

We don’t agree with the ‘like’ & ‘don’t like’ way of doing things. We’re all about being kind and making people feel good. Think about how you feel when someone gives you a thumbs down, you feel, well, down.

So, here at wndr we go a little deeper. We ask you to tell us how things actually make you feel be that happy, sad, pumped or amazed.

Friend and Unfriend

For the same reasons just mentioned, we don’t like to unfriend people either. We get that you might want to change your contacts and sometimes people fall out, that’s life. As part of our ethos for creating a warm and supportive environment we think it’s nicer to ‘connect’ & ‘unconnect’.You can still be connected to someone as a contact without following them and seeing any of their news feed.

You can follow someone without being friends – friends & follow are 2 separate things – on wndr you can post publicly or privately.
